Rooted deeply in the southern US, Whiteside’s Daughter is the brainchild of musician & English professor Steve Deaton. Influenced by 70’s prog, 80s metal, Southern rock, the Who, & the Southern Gothic literary tradition—Deaton is joined by drummer Brian Hughley. Once described as “Sabbath and Crimson meet Molly Hatchet and William Faulkner.”
